‘Why people with learning disabilities are the best social care trainers’.
In an article on The Guardian Social Care Network (2015), Laura Netley and Sarah Pryce from The Smart Enterprise explain how the training that they deliver benefits from using service users and carers to co-deliver the training alongside their qualified social care trainers.
The Smart Enterprise believes that involving service users in the delivery of training means that whilst developing their skills, social care staff benefit from this being underpinned by a strong value base.
