Course Aim:

To become aware of the key health and safety issues and the part that they should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm in the workplace.

Target Audience:

All employees should have a basic understanding of Health & Safety at Work

• Accidents and Injuries
• Slips, Trips and Falls
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Fire Prevention
• Manual Handling
• Risk Assessment
• Safety Signs
• COSHH (Hazardous Substances)
• Electricity
• Noise

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the course learners will be able to:

Understand the principles of health and safety and apply this knowledge in the workplace.
Understand legal and moral responsibilities while at work
Be aware of practical actions to improve their health and safety and that of colleagues and others
Be aware of the need to report accidents and dangerous occurrences, defective equipment and possible safety hazards.
Be aware of what action to take in an emergency
