Mental Health Services support adults with mental health problems who live in the community.
Medway Council’s Adult Mental Health Social Work Service consists of a team of social workers for adults and older people. The team supports people to meet their needs around settled accommodation, vocational training and employment, skills for daily living, assessment and support to carers, promotion of choice and control through personal budgets, mental health assessments and information on staying safe.
Local day centres, such as Medway Community Day Resources Centres offer access to a range of activities for those with mental health problems such as activities to increase their skills for daily living.
Clinical healthcare services (nursing, psychiatry and psychology) for adults with mental health problems are provided by Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust who works across Medway and work in partnership with Medway Council and primary healthcare.
